Your guide will explain the importance of this place to the Kichwa people.

Walking further into the jungle along the river your guide will explain the different plants and flora along the way. You will learn which plants, fruits and trees have been an invaluable source of food, medicine, wood, household items, and clothing for the Kichwa people both past and present. You will stop for lunch at the cabins at approximately 12.30pm.After lunch you can relax around the cabins in the hammocks and/or take a swim in the river.

Continuing your hike, you will pass some caves. Your guide will explain the importance of these caves to the Kichwa people. Upon arriving at the last cave, your guide will set up camp. There is a refreshing small waterfall to wash in before dinner. While you wait for dinner you can watch the many green parrots returning to their nest above the cave, listen to their calls and the many other distinct sounds of the jungle. Dinner will be served at 6.30pm
